Homemade Hummus with Pita
Ingredients
- 1 can chick peas
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 12 whole pitas
- ½tsp pepper
- 1 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 pinch oregano
Instructions
- Place chickpeas in food processor with 2 tbsp olive oil. Pulse until creates a smooth consistency. Add garlic, juice from lemon salt and pepper.
- Brush pita with olive oil and toast on medium in toaster oven. Remove, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano and cut into eighths.
- You can serve with carrots and snap peas too!
